I've never heard of him before.He any good.In other word can fill Tom Sellecks rather large shoes.Also anyone else find it odd that they cast a hispanic guy as a character named Thomas Sullivan Magnum.Because that's one of the most Irish sounding names i've ever heard.

Higgins was the best character on the show. I'm interested to see who plays him.

shareI agree. Even when the stories weren't engaging -- and there were quite a few of those -- the promise of more delightful banter between Higgins and Magnum always kept the viewer watching.

shareOH i called that one.I knew they would gender and/or race switch somebody from the get go.Insane PC politics demand this.And they did both.I just didn't want the gender switch to be Magnum or Higgins.Selleck and Hillerman and their old war horses from different era's odd couple dynamic was a highlight of the original series.They dumbed that dynamic down to the love/hate will they won't they Moonlighting-esque schtick.
I believe Higgins and Magnum got married, too.

It's just a dollar grab with no brains.
Magnum had 4 strong characters, 2 of which are iconic and irreplaceable.
Plus, there's nothing wrong with watching again the original, it's not dated nor old looking.
Why even think of this new crap?
