shareIt was planned to happen but couldn't because of scheduling reasons. Magnum had three crossover stories, the Murder, She Wrote one, the Simon & Simonone and the The Rockford Files one. A Quantum Leap one would have been off-the-hook!

There was no Magnum, P.I. / The Rockford Files crossover episode. The final episode of TRF aired on January 10, 1980, and the first episode of MPI aired about 11 months later (December 11, 1980). Tom Selleck was in 2 episodes of The Rockford files, in 1978 and 1979, but he obviously wasn't playing Thomas Magnum, because that character didn't exist yet. He played a character named Lance White.
