Why did they replace "Robbie Rist" for "Patrick Stuart?"

Just what exactly happened with Robbie Rist's casting as the original Doctor Zee ["star-child"] on the Pilot for the Series "Galactica 1980?"

Why did they replace him with the annoying "James Patrick Stuwart?"

wait, wasn't Robbie Rist the infamous Cousin Oliver on "The Brady Bunch"?

YEPP!!!! The one and only, ORIGINAL Cousin Oliver ... until the 1995 "Brady Bunch" movie and its' dreadful Hawaiian Sequel came-out.

In one of these films, they show for a brief second, a glimpse of the NEW! Cousin Oliver, but quickly gets hit/run-over by a car [off-screen].

All I can think of is that Dr. Zee must have been the model for The Annointed One aka The Annoying One in the early episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
