Return of Starbuck audio glitch?

Hey all. Bought the box set only for the "Return of Starbuck" episode.

Noticed an audio glitch. After Starbuck has crashed on the planet and says, "At least I'm not dead.", and he looks outside what's left of his cockpit, you hear what sounds like a digital tape rewinding briefly.

Now, I own the VHS copy of this episode when it was for sale in video stores a long time ago, and looked to see if there was some sound at that point on the episode on VHS, but there wasn't.

Anyone else hear this 'digital tape rewinding' sound on the DVD?

I didn't know there was a 1980 box set. But you picked a great episode to base your purchase on, ironic that it was written by the original writers and successfully used a limited budget to create a great story. That's the thing the network didn't understand, we kids loved the scifi world (and BTW it wasn't just because of Star Wars, frickin' Lucas didn't INVENT scifi) ... anyway, we loved the stories. In a lot of ways, it truly was a science fiction version of Bonanza.

that episode was simply brilliant.you could have streched that episode out 2 hours and it would even have made a great feature.its on you tube.

Yes, there is a 2 tone audio beep and then the audio itself changes. It was probably added to better explain the voice over that was occuring by Starbuck. It did sound odd though. I actually have the ABC airing on VHS and it was not there either, it was probably added for the DVD release.
