Barry van Dyke ruined the show. As bad as the script was, he made the whole thing 1000X worse. His goofy voice and plaster face was just too much, and the show tanked.

I don't think he was the worst thing about the show. No actor, no matter how good he was, could have saved this horrible writing.

Actually, the two leads were not bad. The problem is, some plots and dialogue are so bad that nobody can improve on them and G:1980 almost feels as if it was deliberately made sub-par for an easy reason to be canned...
