I've only seen 2 episodes, but I love it so far. I also really liked the original series. I had heard people saying how horrible this was for years, and was skeptical because of it, but this will be the last time I will listen to other people.
My only complaint is how they named it "Galactica 1980". Way to paint yourself into a corner! It would have felt outdated within a year.
Which 2 have you seen? I always enjoyed "Galactica Discovers Earth" parts 1-3 and "The Night The Cylons Landed" part 1 and 2. And "The Return of Starbuck" is absolutely much like an original series episode. I bought the series when it came out on DVD. Don't listen to others. If you like it, watch it. Enjoy it. I still do.
