Oh spare me, this isn't getting "all offended and huffy-puffy over like some PMS-ing woman." I simply have no patience for people being willfully obtuse. Or for them being nit-picky and splitting hairs. You are coming across as the guy who can't let a remark from anyone pass without butting in and saying "well ackshually..."
Guess what? Nobody likes that guy.
There is one, count-em, ONE reasonable assumption to make in this case. We, the audience, are clearly meant to make it too. Literally everything we see in the movie makes it unmistakably, crystal clear that the Riffs mean to kill whoever they think shot Cyrus.
We are not talking about real people, in the real world, entitled to due process and being innocent until proven guilty. These are fictional characters, in a story, and a big part of storytelling involves leaving a lot up to the imagination of your audience. You're making it sound like we're somehow in the wrong for doing exactly that. Nonsense.
