Was this shown on Halloween on HBO ?

I seem to remember it being shown late night on Halloween on HBO on some year. I then it was either '80, '81' or '82. Anybody else remember ? I think I read it on one of those little HBO guides we would get in the mail back in the late 70's/ Early 80's. Remember those ? Those were so bad. I would actually go to back of them to see what was coming next month because everything coming this month would suck.

So did it play late night on Halloween or night ? You thought I forgot about that, didin't you ?

Correct. I was Trick-or-Treating with friends and parents, and remember begging to be home in time to watch "The Warriors" at 10:00 PM EST on HBO. If I remember correctly, it was 1981 and I was 12 years old. If wrong, 1980. But I am 100% positive about the day and time.

Best Halloween nights were back with candy and HBO in the early eighties...The Warriors one year, Halloween the previous year. HBO was the best back then. Thanks for the memory jogging. Good recall!

I watched it a ton in the 80's too, usually they played it on ...Probably USA network? Was USA a channel back then? It was on one of those type of cable channels, similar to TNT or TBS. I would always sit and watch it with my dad.

I am fairly certain it was 1980. My family had just moved into a new home and I was stoked to see "The Warriors". I had heard so much about it and it lived up to expectations. I think it was shown at 10:00pm, possibly because of the violence.
