Dexy's Midnight Runner gang?

I have a couple of questions about the last gang they fought(Punks) in the subway men's room.
1. How good of a fighter would the leader have been really wearing roller skates?
2. Did you notice when they ram that guy head first into the stall door or when they throw a guy through the door, the door is closed and locked from the inside?

Good question. I suppose it would be both a test of his fighting abilities and his skating abilities. I imagine if he had to chase someone or get away in a hurry, the skates would come in handy.

Hockey players seem to be able to fight while wearing ice skates, although I don't know how different it would be.

I think those stall doors only opened one way (outward). So, when they pushed someone into the door and forced it the wrong way, they just crashed through and broke it. I don't think they were locked.

EDIT: Also just wanted to mention that the name of the gang in that scene was The Punks.

You're right, if I remember correctly the guy in the skates pulls the door outwards before Rembrandt sprays him with the paint.

The only thing that annoys me about that scene is just before the fight starts and The Punks are all lined up in front of the stalls, one of them is quite clearly tall enough to look over the door... How does he not spot a Warrior standing on the toilet?!

Yes, I noticed that, too. I suppose it would have been obvious that the Warriors were all inside the stalls anyway, even if they hadn't seen them. And yet, they're all just standing there, waiting for a cue as to what to do next. A couple of them were looking under the doors, as if to say "Gee I wonder where they went. Do you think they're in these stalls?"

I was also thinking that they could have just stood further back from the stalls and waited them out. The Punks were in their own territory and had them cornered.

If it was Luther, he'd probably be taunting them with his "come out to play" talk.

"Hey, Warriors, I guess we scared the crap out of ya. Well, come on out, hurry it up. Don't worry about wiping your ass, since you ain't gonna have one in a few minutes."

Yea, that was always something that made me chuckle. Some of the "colors" or outfits that the gangs had were really something. Some were what I thought would be more typical but some were really decked out. It is like coming home from whatever, school, work and then spending an hour or so to get dressed just to go hang out with your friends in the gang.

I didn't think The Punks looked much like the band Dexy's Midnight Runners in the "Come On Eileen" video. Both groups wore overalls. But The Punks wore long sleeve shirts and most of them had stripes. Dexy's Midnight Runners wore sleeveless tee shirts or undershirts. And none of them were on roller skates.

Have you thought how short that guy on the skates was? Skates add at least 4 inches and that guy was still small; with a big neck, lol.
