When I first saw the movie, I thought it was a tranny and Ajax was going to get a different surprise. Then I realized it was Mercedes Ruehl.

She is, but I would say she is real world hot rather than movie star hot. And there is a difference between the two.

I don't see anything wrong with that. What she is in the film is a grown up woman who isn't that impressed with Ajax. I can see how some young men might find that unattractive behaviour.

"Wow, that broad wasn't that grateful Ajax decided she was a fair target for rape!"

And she committed the cardinal sin of getting the cuffs on him and arresting him at the same time. Some women, they just don't know how to behave.

Nothing wrong with it at all. In fact it was very appropriate.

And wasn't going to her attitude at all. Just that she wasn't Michele Pfeiffer in Scarface, but then that is exactly who she should not have been.

Of woman from movies at this time period.....she was absolute perfection. But going back to before on what her character showed -- about the last woman you'd want to marry absent the packaging.

Well i wouldn't want to marry any woman. My husband and daughter might have something to say about that, although my husband actually has a much more open mind than my daughter.

LOL -- I was talking from my own perspective. But then I've also had plenty of women along the way proffer that "that is the woman you should marry" or "that is one you should not." So even being a pure hetero female doesn't seem to block judgments on such.

Of course it doesn't. Every woman knows a man doesn't know what's good for him, Given the choice between an extremely well endowed and beautiful woman with a great job, well developed sex drive and who loves him and a woman who has no ambition and just wants to stay home and pick up after him because he has a good credit rating...the man will always choose the stay at home pick up artists. After all all cats are grey in the dark and she probably cooks good and a woman who has ambiton usually want's him to work hard as well.

Comparing Mercedes to Selena Gomez would make her look less than ideal, yes. Try to remember that people looked different 34 years ago, and when you're pushing up on 50, the women who were attractive in 2014 will look roachy to your kids.

I would definitely have taken a shot at Mercedes if I was Ajax. Sure, she's a lone woman reading on a park bench in the middle of the night, but that's pretty normal. Even a loser like me would NOT smell a trap, maybe a tough broad vice cop looking to bust a bopper's head. I defy anyone to suggest that Ajax's little head might have been in charge, versus his cranium.

No, ugly, besides being an "ugly" word, is incorrect. Mercedes Ruehl was just perfect here, looked like what an undercover policewoman should look like. More importantly, she exuded a hot sensuality that seduced (entrapped) Ajax and any hot-blooded males watching the scene. She wasn't a supermodel or anything, but the way she looked at him and used her voice was sexy.

Three times he challenged his gang mates that they were 'going f_g__t', yet he was portrayed as a guy that wasn't exactly suave with the chicks. That he ended up caught in a sting by a lady cop was somewhat aprospos.
