The book is great. There are a lot of liberties taken with this. But, it works. David Soul has great reactions to the situation. For a Stephen King adaptation, this is good.
I love that the vampires are dirty. Their teeth are stained and the reflective lenses are a simple but effective makeup choice. With the budget they had, this is good.
The run time slogs at parts, but it picks up well.
Not bad at all.

When I first saw it, Ralphie appearing to Danny gave me the creeps. I've seen it more than a few times since, so it doesn't bother me now, but the first time--WOW!!!
shareMrs Glick waking up in the morgue (as David Soul frantically tries to put a cross together) was the other one that really got me. Oh, and the vampires crawling across the cellar floor near the end!
