Amazon should have copies soon

Unable to find it anywhere and don't feel like heading to Best Buy, which didn't have it last time I went I pre-ordered my copy at Amazon. I did order it late as there were other things higher up on the want list. But by waiting I guess I like many missed out as its out of stil on Amazon.

I just got an email saying estimates delivery Wed. I was surprised. Tomorrow? But upon closer look it's next Wed. But copies should be more easily obtained through Amazon shortly.

Was kinda hoping the email was for my pre-order of Burial Ground.

I got a new delivery date from amazon today for Monday the 24th. They're waiving the shipping charges because of the lateness.

I have Prime so no shipping fee. One thing I need to add is for those that have yet to pre-order or should I say didn't pre-order you may wait longer.

Amazon has been weird as of late. I pre-ordered Slugs and rather than get it on its release day I got it the next day. However when I got the email conformation I checked the page and it said order within the next whatever amount of time and get it on its release date. So why do I have to wait an extra day? I decided to leave it I can wait the extra day. Didn't wanna take a chance and not receive my order.

Same thing happened on the Hills Have Eyes. Only Thursday was my delivery date. On the main page it said order within whatever and get it on its release, took a chance and cancelled my order than re-ordered and I got it on the release.

I went to the main page for Salem's Lot and clicked order to see what it would say, I got the we need more time to provide you with a delivery date. So I backed out and simply left my pre-order.

So Amazon may not have copies anytime soon outside of those that put in a pre-order. My guess is by next week copies should be easily available on Amazon.

I received this email on October 6th:

Hello,

We now have delivery date(s) for the order you placed on September 25, 2016:

"Salem's Lot (1979) (BD) [Blu-ray]"
Estimated arrival date: October 24, 2016 - October 25, 2016

My order status at Amazon shows the blue bar two thirds of the way over in the delivery process, but it says "not shipped yet". The main page on Amazon doesn't say anything other than "this title is not yet released".

I wonder what the deal is? Stephen King's IT and Cat's Eye are experiencing the same issue.

Lot is number 27 on the best seller list. It is 52 and Cat's Eye 117.

I know Salem's Lot and It are popular, but surprised they're selling so well. I suppose it being October is boosting sales on all 3. Also the biggest issue is I don't think WB thought they'd be in this high of demand and didn't supply enough copies to retailers. Shows like the Walking Dead or big huge Hollywood releases typically top the Amazon best seller lists, but more than enough copies are sent to,retailers,

This actually happened last year with the Friday the 13th double features, WB put them out and they were very tough to find. Took a couple of weeks before Amazon stocked them and none of the Friday double features were ranked as highly on the Amazon best seller list.

My guess is if not in another week than by November all 3 will be simple to find. Sometimes it could even be on Amazon. Not so much now, but last year Arrow Video releases were a pain to get on Amazon (mainly their horror stuff). Now Amazon stocks right away.

If nothing else, it makes me glad to see that Salem's Lot is in demand and doing well. The old film really holds up and has great appeal! WB underestimates as usual!

Prime is no two-day shipping fee, and this has gone on for over a month now.

I'm hearing that Barnes and Noble may have it, or maybe Best Buy. If I find it somewhere else near me I'm going to cancel this order and buy it there.

Mine will be arriving today, Monday the 24th. Out of curiosity, I looked at Amazon's page and now it is "Temporarily out of stock" and the price is back up to $14.99. Curious.

Before I pre-ordered it the price did go back and forth between 9.99 and 14.99

I guess I was wrong about getting more copies in soon. While its selling well this is more WB not shipping out enough. Last year the double features of the first 8 Friday the 13th films which WB put out was also difficult to pick up first couple of weeks since its release. I've seen films in the top 5 Amazon best sellers that weren't out of stock like Lot.

My copy arrived yesterday, which was perfect since since I was able to watch it last night as I'll be busy next couple of days and also awaiting my order of Burial Ground to arrive.

Amazon sent a notification to my email account and informed me that the price had dropped by four dollars. Thank you Amazon.

It's all a deep end.

Mine will be greatly timed, as I am off work the next three days! I get to indulge in Salem's Lot the last week before Halloween!!!!
