We're working for Mr.Barlow now Gary. You'll enjoy Mr.Barlow, and he'll enjoy you.

I'd like to express my immense relief that at least some of you are still around--in whatever form.

I might do some shooting real soon. It's been a while since I've shot any of my S&W wheelguns.

I replied to you in another topic, and posted a "new" old picture of the Master that I never saw before, and I've seen them ALL.

My cousin and I are going shooting this Saturday. He just bought a new Springfield XD he wants me to try out. I'll be with Glocks.

I just got a new SIG-Sauer P229 9mm that seems to be a very nice gun. I'll stick with carrying my S&W wheelguns for the present time, however.

reply

Wow, I'm actually saving up for a 229 right now, that's my dream gun. I fired a 226 at the range a while back and fell in love.

They are nice guns. A character in my latest story, a novella about a series of terrorist acts in the USA, is armed with a 229 9mm.

I have completed the rough draft and I am editing it now. It takes several times through, but I eventually get the vast majority of the typos.

Hi Gary.

Decided to purchase a Ruger GP100 stainless steel with 4.2" barrel. I've been wanting a new .357 magnum that I can shoot without any concern. Which is something that I deal with when shooting my vintage revolvers. It came down to a new S&W 686 and the GP100. I went with the Ruger because I like the look of the GP100. Simple as that.

Hey there, Mr C!! Fancy you showing up here.

Great choice!! I have two Ruger revolvers and they are superb guns. Trigger pulls are smooth, even if they are a bit stiff, and both of them are built like tanks. BTW, one is in 22LR and the other is 32 H&R Magnum. Both are 4" SP-101's.

My preference is for S&W in carry guns, specifically the L-frame, but like I said, the GP100 is quite good as well.

Mr. C, are you aware that Colt is now back in the DA revolver business? They are introducing the Cobra. It is a 2" six-shot wheelgun.

Just thought you might be interested.

reply

Yes I am. Lots of chatter about that on the various revolver forums that I lurk about on.

I think the Halloween season might have drained us. Right now, I'd rather be thinking of Santa than Barlow.

reply

Sacrilege! Barlow takes a backseat to no one.
