shareThis is quite good, but I know that the British accents might be harder to understand for listeners from around the globe.
I also happen to know that there is not a lot of fan-love for the two hour version of the movie on the board here.
I like the fact that one of the guys on the commentary said that a car dealership - in real life - based locally in 'Salem Street' had named itself 'Salem's Lot'!
That raised a chuckle with me!
Cheers for now.
Are you British elmadman?
shareI am originally from Ireland by live and work in London now.
When did you first see this movie? I saw the original airing in 1979.
shareMust have been 81 or 82, it was not the original airing because my older brother had seen it before me and was able to tell me about some of the scenes before I saw it for myself.
share'Consequence of Sound', and 'The Losers Club' have produced a really excellent podcast on the novel Salem's Lot. The podcast is extensive as they even cover the film versions (both 1979 and 2004) the 1987 'in name only' sequel and the 1995 BBC radio drama.
This is well wort a listen, for any fans that have some time on their hands.
