Any Thoughts Moving Forward?

Hi All,

OK, obviously there are a core of frequent contributors to the board here, and it looks as if we will very soon have the boards taken down, either for all the wrong reasons or for no good reason at all (take your pick - it amounts to the same thing.)

Does anyone have any thoughts on how we can continue our ongoing dialogue with reference to all things Salem's Lot?

I am not a member of either Facebook or Twitter, and to be honest, I have no intention of joining either of them any time soon.

Please post with any thoughts, anything constructive would be very welcome indeed.

As I have said before, the discussion board being taken down is a little bit like having an enjoyable, if silly hobby taken away.

Cheers for now.

What do you guys think
I had one years ago it wasn't bad plus I believe the board owner can block people if you know what I mean

I don't foresee me joining any others, and as they say, nothing lasts forever.

Maybe some intelligent poster here can create a msg board for this film? I'm not savvy enough, but I'd consider joining something like that. From what I hear, most alternative msg boards mentioned are mediocre, according to posters from many other boards on this site.

I think that board I posted was ok hey it's better than no Salem's lot chatter stones

I would definitely consider getting a facebook account and joining both the Victims Of Salem's Lot page and the Salem's Lot: Then and Now page. Both amazing pages with tons of info, rare pictures etc.

I'm a member of both I love em good people no bs

In a way, I sort of understand the aversion to facebook, as I just joined about two years or so ago. The fact is however, that you can be on as much as or or as little as you choose. So it really costs you nothing to sign up. The idea has been floated on boards for other SK films, and except for some expressed aversion to facebook, I can see no real downside to it. I am already facebook friends with a couple of regular posters on The Stand. And I'd love it if an SL group were to be formed.

I'm open to different possibilities.

FB/Twitter is a non-starter for yours truly, but open to other things. There's youtube clips that I usually comment on for this film too.

Thanks for the above from 'Spookyontario' of all of the ideas so far that seems to be the best.

Cheers for now.
