The Archbishop...

*spoilers*

I had guessed that Lupin had created a costume and was pretending to be the Archbishop but I think that they should have elaborated on that scheme and the results of what they did with the Archbishop a little bit more...

Nah, not necessary. As it is right now, the film's pacing is pretty close to perfect. Throwing in a scene with what happened to the archbishop would have ruined the surprise if it happened before the wedding (though the little bit of telegraphy where you see how the driver has changed is a cute touch), and unnecessarily messed with that pacing if it happened afterward.

HA ha, no disrespect but you do sound like a Lupin newbie, big time there............

You should see some of the "transformations" he does on the TV series not to mention the manga itself.

Let's just say you really have to try hard in suspending your disbelief, definitely by Western standards, that is.
And why not mention a samourai that can stop an hail of bullets and cut whole buildings with his sword?

I personally don't give a damn about "Western standards" of trying to make sense all the time, especially Hollywood standards, with their attitude on treating audiences like total idiots, and have been happily loving Lupin and his gang for over three decades now. Which is more than I can say of the 'rational' Hollywood industry.
So much for nonsense......

Actually most Hollywood movies makes no sense at all, it's just that they like to pretend they do make sense. E.g. Recently I just watched 'The Book of Eli' and 'Percy Jackson'. They're nonstop nonsense. Not to mention 'Transformers 2' or 'G.I. Joe'.
Anyway I got your point and I second it. Specially the part about Hollywood treating the audience like complete idiots. Sad but true.
