Does the Region 2 UK work on a DVD Rom drive?

I'm planning to buy it because I'm curious to hear the Streamline dub.

Yes - just set the DVD-ROM drive to the correct region and you're good to go. Keep in mind you can only do that up to 5 times before you're stuck for good, so it would be wise to find some DVD region-cracking software.
