Hi :-)

I was wondering if someone could help me?

I have the manga special edition region 1 version of the movie and I know a blu ray release has been released in Japan on region 2.

However, was there a dvd released in Japan of this movie?
Or is the only release of the movie in Japan the blu ray one without english subtitles?

A combo pack featuring the DVD and Blu-ray (on separate discs) is available in the UK and Europe. It features the original Japanese audio track with English subtitles, which are taken from the 2004 Manga DVD release (as well as the corresponding dub).

That said, I still prefer watching it in Japanese with subtitles.
