Why is this tune only in the movie and not on the album? Was it a B-side, or simply recorded later exclusively for the film?

There is a Quadrophenia soundtrack that is different from the original album. Get Out and Stay Out was new for the soundtrack. So were Four Faces, and Joker James. It was released as a double album, but only about half of it was songs from the original album, and many of those were remixed for the movie. It also included a whole side of songs from the movie by other artists like James Brown and Booker T.
