I swear I was living this movie in late 2005...
When I went to middle school in September of 2005, I swear that everything reminded me of this movie. Prior to that time, in elementary school, no guys had long hair, everything was up to date and in style. In middle school, I noticed about 70% of the guys had long hair, wore clothes that seemed more 70s, our middle school still had decor that was very reminiscent of the 70s, and there was a lot of teen angst in town. People even started listening to Cheap Trick and The Cars in my town. It was really weird and it only lasted like one school year, but after seeing this movie I felt like I was living in 1979 in 2005/2006.
