Was a high school freshman when OTE was first released.

I was a freshman at Kaiser High in Honolulu's Hawaii Kai section when "Over the Edge" was filmed and released (though it was not released in Hawaii at the time, I saw OTE on Showtime a year later). Although my school never experienced the same kind of revolt and destruction as depicted at the school in the movie, there was a lot of rampant drug use nonetheless as marijuana was freely available in Hawaii. There was also a lot of disrespect for authority as well. Most of my classmates were not interested in learning, they didn't pay attention in class and they just wanted to goof off. Kaiser High was so bad even the seniors were just as immature as the freshmen. Fortunately I went to a better school after my freshman year.
