Sympathy for Count Dracula

Just finished watching this movie ... Woh, where do I begin with this masterpiece. Flawless acting (Bruno Ganz, Klaus Kinski ...), perfect extras (everybody is always so natural in Herzog his movies), amazing music (especially Richard Wagner's Das Rheingold Prelude), very creepy at times, perfect atmosphere for this story, the madness of mankind, which I love to see get portrayed in films (the people dining with the rats), the camera shots .....

But now to get to the poiny of this topic. What amazing acting from Klaus Kinski.
I felt sympathy for an undead who unleased the plague on innocent people. From the moment you saw him and heard him, you could feel his pain, his loneliness and absence of love. I felt bad for him and was happy that in the end he found salvation in death. Just perfect how Klaus Kinski (the crazy man) played this roll and was able to let me feel so much sympathy for a person in a movie, an experience that I don't have to often

God, what a genius Werner Herzog ...
How has not everybody seen this movie?!?!?!?!?!

This is an amazing movie. I love how Herzog makes his world seem so real even with all of the fantastical elements. His Dracula is a fascinating character, and you do feel a little bit of sympathy for him. It seems that whenever he is hungry for blood, he is in great pain.
