A great film.
Loved the corrupt Masonic Connection as well as Holmes unmasking the bad elements in The Masons at the end.
A favorite move of mime (I own the DVD),but the masonic stuff is fictional like the rest of the movie.

I don't care if it's true to the facts or not, I love the concept of Sherlock Holmes investigating the Ripper murders, the chemistry between Christopher Plummer and James Mason (Watson struggling to get his pea while Holmes gets frustrated with him makes me laugh just thinking about it), and last but not least, the atmosphere is superb.
