The cast alone makes it worthwhile. I love the film

Great, no... but I did enjoy it a lot. Plummer and Mason are smashing as Holmes and Watson, and there's a memorably bizarre cameo by Donald Sutherland.

It's really, really good. A great cast of actors, lots of Victorian atmosphere, a superb Holmes & Watson friendship. It deserves to be better known.
