I'm trying to identify a Muppet movie or TV special.

A long time ago, I remember watching a documentary that I believe was on Jim Henson. There was a scene in the documentary that I think was from a Muppet movie. In the scene, the Muppets are sitting in a theatre. Robin starts singing a song, then the camera pans to the side as Kermit, and then the other Muppets start singing the song. Eventually, the camera pulls back, and you see the entire theatre, full of Muppets, singing the song. I am wondering what movie or show this scene is from. I think “The Muppet Movie” ends with a scene like this, but for some reason, I think the song they sang isn’t “The Rainbow Connection”, which makes me wonder if this scene was from another movie. Of course, I could be mistaken as I haven’t seen that documentary in years, so it’s possible I’m remembering wrong. Does anybody have any idea what movie this scene is from?

Thank you.

In the Muppet Family Christmas film from 1987, they have all the Muppets, all the Sesame Street characters and the Fraggles together singing Christmas carols and there WERE a few scenes where it was Robin singing by himself and then Kermit joined in with him and then everyone else followed, that's the only one I know of. I think it's up on Youtube so you can check, unfortunately it hasn't been on TV in about 20 years and both the VHS AND the DVD have a lot of scenes cut from them.

I think you may be thinking of The Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson. It featured documentary clips about aspects of Jim's career hosted by people like Harry Belafonte, John Denver and Frank Oz. Near the end after the Muppets learn that Jim has died, Robin starts singing "Just one person" and all the others join in, and there are Muppets from other programs there. Near the end of song Kermit comes in.
It's a great life affirming moment. The show is on Youtube but keep Kleenex handy.

It is not our abilities that show who we truly are...it is our choices
