...that Richard Dreyfuss isn't even in it. It's not American Graffiti without him. He obviously saw the wisdom in staying out of this one.
I'm surprised they got Harrison Ford in 1979 with him busy on The Empire Strikes Back. I notice though that his name is not in the credits, no doubt a conscious choice.

It's no surprise that Harrison Ford reprised his part; AG gave him his start in the business, and this, like Star Wars, was a George Lucas production. Also, it's not like it took up much of his time....I'm sure that he took care of his part in one day's shooting.

shareI had paid no attention to the sequel's cast but when I saw it on HBO I was very disappointed that Curt wasn't in it. Mr. Dreyfuss probably thought the script was awful. Which it is in many ways.
I don't even know enough to know how much I don't know. Ya know?
It's not a perfect movie, but I enjoyed it well enough.

And it's a far better film that it gets credit for being. Taken on its own terms, it captures that middle period of the 1960s beautifully & accurately, with appropriate film styles for each of the different stories.
