WTC buildings get hit by one of the meteors!

I noticed that around 1h20m, when one of the meteor pieces hits NYC, they show it flying right through the towers and they explode.

ermmmm except nature doesn't "win" - they blow up the meteor.

Played on a local station last night and the scene of the towers was not there.

The footage of the Twin Towers being destroyed is retained in the Kino Lorber DVD and Blu-ray for this film.

I'll have to watch this film. Can't be all bad with Sean Connery and Karl Malden in it.

This movie was on British TV back in the 1980s, I saw it a few times and liked it, together with Earthquake, the other disaster movie around the same time. Yeah, they're not actually awful, just B-Movie for the standards of the 1970s. Just go in with low expectations and you'll probably have a blast, even if for the cheesy stuff.
