I saw this in theaters in 1979 and thought it was pretty bad, I would think 5.9 was generous, but of course I was 7 years old and haven't seen it since so maybe I'll have to watch it again.

Edit: Watched it today for the first time since 1979, and I agree, this movie is so much better than a 5.9!

Same here. It was R rated but was able to sneak in at 8 years old. Didn't really like it then. I'm wondering now if I went back & watched it again, ...
