Well I generally agree. I also hate dubbing. BUT there's 2 exceptions for me: - animation films are apart since the original version is also a dubbing! - films that are rooted in my childhood so that the dubbed voices are deeply part of my memory.
I spent many years to try to find out what this animated film was since I had vague memories of its atmosphere and voices only. I finally found what it was and spent some few more years to get an English copy of it. And after watching it I have to admit there was something wrong about it compare to the atmosphere I recalled. I thought it may be because there was a different animated version of this story but I'm pretty sure it's the only one so I think it's because French voices were linked to that atmosphere in my memory. Therefore I'd be very very happy to find a French copy of it but I read somewhere that it doesn't exist anymore. You might be happy for that, I'm not
