I wonder did Joanna even try to make her marriage work? How can she be so insensitive at least towards her son? And at the end she leaves her child with her husband forever. How can she do that? Doesn't she have any maternal instinct within her? She'll always remain a cold-hearted, selfish, insensitive b***hy character in the history of hollywood.

Joanna is the type of person who was never cut out for motherhood to begin with. She should have realized how important her career and being focused more on herself was to her before she had a child. Once one becomes a parent, their life ceases to be their own, which is why I have no kids and never intend to. If more people realized they are not parent material before having a child they are going to destroy, this world would be much better off.
