Tivo'd it the other night and it appears to be the original non de-saturated version in a really nice looking print;
will watch later and confirm

So what happened to the follow up - was it the b&w version or not?

Can you save the movie indefinitely on your TIVO? I'd love for someone to make a Fan-Edit of the movie with proper colors.
