Who cares about some little animals over a year ago

Its like american families watching horror movies together, not minding the brutal torture and killing but the whole family gasps if a small breast is uncovered.

No one complains about the nice first rape or the brutal killings in this, but scream to high heaven about some dumb little animals that were given to the wranglers to eat anyway. If the crew did not kill the ponies, then the wranglers, having noticed it, would have killed them also.

Get over yourselves, there is so much child cruelty and famine in the world and your going mad over some animals. I bet you all crush little flies or insects.

No one minded the chicken McNugget Hobbit meals being served up, piping hot?

reply

Are you really that stupid? Those poor innocent animals were killed for the purpose of filming but none of the actors were raped not killed. They should of used cgi for animal cruelty scenes instead

reply

No CGI back then, i'm glad they included real animals, they were added to help illustrate the brutality of the jungle.

They were killed for the purpose of filming & they were all eaten, it goes on all the time, it's not like they killed them & then just left them on the ground.

What do you think people in the jungle eat?

I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.

reply

I'd like to add that if the animals were not killed for the movie, what do you think would have happened to them? The animals would just be killed by the natives and eaten. So what makes that any different to if the film crew just decided to film them being killed? Some documentaries do that all the time.

Omg I can't believe you are so out of touch with the world around you. I hope that one day you recieve the same treatment and some one takes the same attitude you have. You are as you put it ?stupid little animal? as well. Or did you not know that? we are taught that in school. You must've missed that class.

reply

Can you please read over what you just typed and try to understand it? I sure as hell can't.

"Omg I can't believe you are so out of touch with the world around you."
I believe it's actually YOU who is so out of touch with the world around you. Animals get killed. They get killed by man for food (-cough- the animals killed in this did end up being food for the natives, despite being filmed -cough-) and they get killed by other animals.

"I hope that one day you receive the same treatment and some one takes the same attitude you have."
... What?

"You are as you put it ?stupid little animal? as well. Or did you not know that? we are taught that in school. You must've missed that class."
We were taught in school that he was a stupid little animal? Him specifically? I think I missed that class, too.

Some of us don't want to watch real life violence

but you are happy with simulated violence? why? one might wager that the act of enjoying fake violence is more morally problematic than observing authentic violence. The film was exploring this very concept- that film viewers tend to have a heavy cognitive dissonance between violence on screen and reality-that they cheer if a fake human head explodes in a shower of bone and gore, but can;t handle a jungle rat getting stabbed in the neck.

I had a very hard time watching the animals being murdered. It was sad! The actors and actresses that were in this movie were all basically unharmed. But the poor critters were really killed. There is a big difference.

I think you've made a good point about child cruelty and other horrible things that happen to people around the world. I agree with you. But the turtle, pig, monkey, snake and little rat were murdered. And that is pretty horrible.

Yes, they fed the animals to the tribes. That was the right thing to do. But I don't think that is justification enough of taking an innocent creature's life simply for making a movie. It was cruel.

And yes, I actually like this movie. But in the end, I felt worse about the animals deaths than I did about the human deaths.

reply

Murdered???? Seriously animals are not murder victims would people please stop saying that. They were killed that's it, and whether on camera or off the animals fates would've been the same.

I'm pretty sure the cast ate the Animals that were killed or gave it to the natives. I mean, if you kill an animal and then just throw it away, then thats messed up. But i'm pretty sure someone ate it.

This is such a pathetic attempt to troll. So lame... And you're a hypocrite.
Hand us over your childhood pet or the family dog and see how quickly you change your *beep* tune.
