How could people think it was real?

They thought that the footage from the 2nd half of the movie was real? Then how could the film crew appear at the beginning of the movie? Also, everytime a human or animal is graphically killed, the camera cuts away (or the damage of the reel is visible) in the exact second.

Yes. It was 1980/1979-ish that this was released. A film like this hadn't really been seen in this kind of aspect before. So many elements looked real in its day, and some of it still does.

Did you watch the movie? Because that is archive footage. Archive footage and the claim that they have been lost in the jungle, giving the reason for Monroe to go find them in the first place.

Also, everytime a human or animal is graphically killed, the camera cuts away (or the damage of the reel is visible) in the exact second.

They said that there were burns and damages to the film to start with. Also, it doesn't really matter if they cut in those places anyway, because realistically, most people cut away during scenes like that anyway, unless they think it could be more importance. Although that can be arguable in some instances.

Because they shot that before going into the Jungle..... The animal deaths were real, so it kind of discredits the idea you are putting forth.

You can't fix stupid.

Just look at CountryBoy trying to defend this rubbish. Anyone with a brain can tell this is fake. The people who fell for this, also fell for The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity.

Really? Is that the best you got? "Southern mentality", Ha! Funny how insulting me seems to show your mentality or lack there of.

reply

Nothing wrong with an explanation.

Unfortunately, the animals were really killed. The humans were obviously faked.

Yes. A quick look at the Trivia section will reveal this. Anyone with half a brain can Google the same information. We don't dispute the fact that real animals were killed on film. It's the concept that is fake. Just as Blair Witch is.

People were gullible in 1979. No internet to check facts or distribute media.
