The whole moral of the movie, is a message against religious superiority

In many ways this reminded me of the Conquistadores that said "the savages must die because of their lack of respect of human life". So then they turn around and commit genocide agsinst the native peoples. "Killing is wrong, so now we need to go kill too", it makes ne sense IMO.

Also Faye Daniels could've changed her own fate when the men in her group were abusing & raping the native women. Instead of just being a bystander (the case of Kitty Genovese etc...) if you see something going on that's evil, try to step in to prevent what's happening. If not you may also suffer the same fate.

Bottom line, no matter where you are in the world remember to carry yourself with respect for the natives and mind your business unless someone is directly attempting to harm you in some fashion.

Surely it's more CULTURAL superiority rather than religious. There's nothing really in this film to suggest the filmmakers were into religion. Unless I missed it.

Granted, plenty of culture is determined by religion. But you can say the same about money. So it's also a film about capitalism... right?
