GD New Jersey

one of my favorite movies of all time, plus just watched with my father inlaw a Vietnam Vet. He told me some horrific stories after we watched it.

Either or the one thing that always bothered me about this movie was why does Robert Duvall say "New Jersey". I grew in NJ and surfed the Jersey shore, granted it's no Cali but depending on the time of year and costal storms it wasn't to bad. I think it would of been a better line if he said, New Mexico or Utah.

Just my humble opinion.

Because New Jersey is the armpit of the world....

Lot of surfing in NJ?

If you read my OP I said coastal storms and time of year. I've surfed California and you cant compare, NJ is like a kiddy pool.

Either or I was just saying I think the line would of worked better if he mentioned a landlocked state.

That's why he says it.

It would have made no sense that way because technically he did know how to surf. They were just saying his experience was chickenshyte compared to theirs.

I was in the United States Army Infantry for 22 years. It was 2.2 decades of playing one-ups-manship.

I've lived upon the edge of chance for 20 years or more...
