Seeing the interiors in such stark clarity is both fascinating and unnerving knowing what definitely happened there and what possibly happened there, whether or not the hauntings were real doesn't really matter, you can sense a palpable charge of despair and negativity in the atmosphere even when the house looks as pretty as it does.
Be sure to watch the short video on page two about the infamous "demon boy", real or not the close-up of his face makes my blood run cold.
It's a grown man crouching in the doorway looking into the camera. That photo was taken during the "seance" held at the house after the Lutzes abandoned it. They were accompanied by a TV crew, and according to the reporter who attended there were people walking all around the house that night.
And he's wearing glasses. Which are reflecting the flash from the camera.
---- Adversity does not build character. It reveals it.
It doesn't look recognizable at all. I understand people wanting private lives and wanting to be separated from all the spectators and media people, but that seems like the wrong house to do it in. I don't know. It just seems silly to buy perhaps the most infamous house in the country, then change it up because you're angry about all the attention.
While it does look different it's still recognizable on the outside, only with a new paint job and the new windows.
The interiors were changed out of necessity because they were radically outdated lol. After looking trough the police photos taken just after the murders the house SCREAMED 60's and 70's, it looked awful, to keep it looking that way in the modern age wouldn't have been something that anyone would desire.
In short I doubt the changes were made to try and ward away tourists but more because the house simply needed it.
What a beautiful house! The way it is decorated in the inside is gorgeous, with expensive classy furniture. Whoever is living in there now did a great job fixing it up. It's so light and bright. You would never guess it was a haunted house in the 1970's. The only room I didn't care for was the kitchen. What happened to the "eye" windows? They were so creepy it looks like those are gone now.
Yeah it's a gorgeous house but I don't think I could live there, does anyone know who's bedrooms the two in the pictures are/were? I think one is the master (parents) bedroom but I don't know about the bedroom with yellow wallpaper - was it the boys room or Dawns?
