More on lyrics to'Take Off With Us'

I just finished the recent DVD version of this great movie. The commentary by Roy Scheider is terrific.However, I am still confused about the lyrics to "Take Off With Us." I looked back and noticed a discussion of this topic back in 2010. I agree with those posters that all of the posted lyrics floating around are wrong --butchered in many cases. For example the third line is "We're warming up so" The web sites that I've seen have that line as "We want an up so" Line 5 is "NY to LA" not "We want to relate".ARGG!

It looks like someone tried to transcribe lyrics after listening to the song--not a good idea. I have listened to the song many times and have figured out most of the lyrics but many still escape me.

There are many more erroneous lyrics around so my question is does anyone know if there is a definitive published version of the correct lyrics. I would appreciate some help with this.
