Still a creepy classic

I have this movie on DVD. It's aged nicely and is still an engrossing story. The movie has an eerie, mysterious quality to it that makes it tense to watch.

I kinda wish they left the alien head translucent enough to see the skull.

Yes, agreed, and the gritty sets make them seem so lifelike. There is a quality here that computer graphics can't duplicate very well.
