I've never seen American Beauty, but I think The Lady In Red is a clone of 10. The plots are all too similiar.

well, they're both about a man entering a middle age crisis who becomes infatuated with a much younger female. I think that's about where the similarities end.

After watching American Beauty, it would be very evident that it was similar to 10, but it's definitely not. I don't really know how you came to think it ever was.

I found Lost In Translation to be closer to this, not really in terms of plot, even though both have a main character going through a middle life crisis, but more the atmosphere and smooth way it all unfolds.
