Does anybody know if George Webber is based upon Burt Bacharach ? He certainly fits the basic mold : very well-known Hollywood/Broadway composer ; pop song writer who has a lyrics partner.
I'm sure it could have been a bunch of others, but he most struck me as Burt Bacharach.

I read somewhere years ago that the movie was based on Blake's and Julie's real life relationship with each other before their marriage. The writers simply changed the Blake/George character from the real life director to the fictional song writer.
