Remake Cast

Now that another remake is on the way, we can only thank it is not another horror but this time cult romantic/sex comedy for a change, which doesn't pose that much risk of beeing cheesy. When I watched original last night it struck me that there are few actors perfectly suited for the role of George Webber: Michael Sheen (somehow similar screen personality as Dudley Moore- best choice imo), Andy Serkis (same twisted, sneering sense of humor) or Eddie Izzard (he could relate to musician/songwriter aspect of character). The interesting thing is they're all British, same as Moore.
Jenny the "10" should be play by unknown, or relatively unknown actress , who should exude calm sexual magnetism Bo Derek had, not bimbo-ish attitude (that's why for exapmle Jessica Simpson wouldn't do).Any thoughts?
Ah and Eric Roberts would be good for George's musician gay pal Hugh.

Did you read this is going to be remade or are you just imagining WHAT IF.Well,its so hard to tell with remakes who to cast.I can only picture the original actors in the roles.Thats any film
If it was a play,then by all do means it needs to be recast and could be quite interesting.But movies are alot harder in my opinion.

Bo Derek - Brooklyn Decker (nuff said)
Dudley Moore - Jay Baruchel (the guy from She's Out of My League)

Jessica Alba could play Jenny.

Ha, I just came here to see if there was a thread about recasting a remake and Michael Sheen was my choice to play Moore's role. I also wanted to suggest Kate Upton as Jenny.

How about Bo Dekek to play Samantha Taylor? She's in her late fifties and still acting. This could be fun. I have no idea if she can sing, so that might have to be worked around. She could play Samantha as an actress or a director or an artist.

If I were to cast the remake, I'd make the movie be about Sam & NOT George. In Mexico, have Sam & Mary hook up, & then Jenny & Sam.

Obviously the point being that Sam realizes she is a lesbian.
