arthur daley tribute to alastair sim in st trinians
having just watched the very last episode of minder, the long good thursday, the closing scene where arthur daley/george cole is taken away in the police van hit a chord with me. it is very reminiscent of the scene in st trinians where alastair sims character is in jail looking out of the bars and holding them in similar manner, even the same expression. i wonder if this was george cole's way of paying tribute to his mentor and adoptive father alastair sim? watch it and see. it is really charismatic.,many thanks george for a brilliant and colourful career on screen and on tv. you're a gem.
