Last Episode of Classic Minder

In much the same way that the classic Van Halen line-up ended when Diamond Dave Lee Roth left the band, MInder pretty much ceased to exist as a credible show once Dennis Waterman departed. As a massive Minder fan who missed a lot of the episodes first time around, I've never actually seen the last episode of classic Minder; "The Wrong Goodbye", although I seem to recall some argument over a cheque leads Terry to walk away. Without giving away the plot, is it as downbeat as it sounds? This episode is shown next Friday on ITV4 at 5.50, and I'll be in front of the tv with a half of continental lager.

Actually it is a good, funny episode and if you want the truth do not read the following:

It was not a true ending to Terry McCann as it is in no way a finale to Minder at all, Waterman was contacted for an 8th series but refused. By the way the episode with the cheque was "Waiting for Goodard" the last of series 6 then it returned with Minder on the Orient Express.

Yeah, I think in the opening 'Gary Webster' series, it was mentioned Terry went to work in Australia - though I don't know how he got in with his criminal record. Getting INTO the UK with a criminal record from abroad, is easy though as well all know under THIS government!

Yes, Terry got married and went to Australia, I have often wondered how he managed to get there with his form. A theory though, I think it is quite easy to get into Australia if a member of your family is Australian, so what if Terry's new wife was from Australia.
