Arthur - Why such a Coward

OK I get that Arthur is a dodgy bloke and it's understandable he may employ a Minder, but was it really so believable that this bloke, who was a criminal (though he would say a businessman), but given he lived in a rough area, and associatiated with various criminals and people capable of violence was it really so lijely someobody like Arthur would be quite as cowardly as was portrayed.
I can understand he wouldn't always manage but there are times when he could do somethjing. Afterall if you've got no edge yourself having somebody to protect you won't really go that far because once that persons out the way your finished, and even with that person they can't save you forever.

Yes I know it's a TV show, and very good though it was, I think it overdid Arthurs cowardice.

at the beginning of the show, I think that Arthur hired Terry out, rahter than used him as a bodyguard for himself. but in any case, A's not that young and he is cowardly. Besides, criminals do keep muscle men.....

I know they have muscle, but my point is they need a bit of an edge if you see what I mean.

I would not call Arthur a criminal in the sense of todays Crims/drug scum dealer, more a wheeler dealer type,a chancer or what people call a likable rascal as he never did robberies or stick up's etc, went around threaten to have people beaten up.
