The chemistry between Arthur and Terry was just perfect.

Its strange looking back at Minder, I watched it with my old man at the time so its only the last 5 or so years I've gone back to it as an adult that I'm able to fully appreciate it. I mentioned it to my old man recently and said its probably my favourite series and he slightly scoffed at that even though he still a fan. I think he's forgot just how good Minder was though, and to go back to the topic title, arthur and terry were fantastic on screen together. I saw an episode recently where on of arthurs oppos from the army is in london sans trousers. Arthur and terry are driving to find him and arthur gives terry a sideways look, obviously sizing up terrys strides...its just so comical and they really did come across as great friends.

Shame they butcher them for itv4, ill need to get the dvds (I'd they're intact, anyone know?)

Yes, certainly the chemistry between the them is what made the show a winner. They almost remind me of a long married couple who know each other too well. I must say that I was wary of the introduction of Ray but was soon put at ease as they too have a great chemistry, although not quite as dynamic as Terry & Arthur, they managed to pull it off.

Yeah the ray years held up surprisingly well, the choice to stick with family was logical but still a well thought out choice. Made sure there was an instant bond After terry left.
