Can't say am the most fanatical Minder viewer, though I have seen most episodes with Waterman. The one episode that I think stands out above all others that I have seen is "What makes Shammy Run". It has a very good plot, a story that twists and turns, and great dialogue (and of course brilliant humour). "The Syrup" stands out as a real character, but surely the wig specialist was mistaken when describing him as not having any distinguishing characteristics, a "face in the crowd".
Very hard too pick out fave episodes, but here are couple from each era (ie Terry's era and Ray's era) Series 3 Poetic justice innit? (Terry) Series 8 Too Many Crooks (Ray) The first one with Ray was quite good as well (i think beginning of series 8) I also liked the ones in between eras - as Terry was leaving and Ray was taken on by Arthur.
From series 6. Give us this day Arthur's Daily Bread. And the classic The Return of the Invincible Man - 'Let's leave him in a skip'! Also, the Ray episode where they go down to Brighton - "I've got a terminal illness in my body", "Where else could you have it?", but I've forgotten what that one was called.
National Pelmet - Terry trying to sleep sharing a stable with a farting horse.Having grown up in a rural environment, I know the feeling. I thought I'd never stop laughing.
