Forget DVD, that's a dead technology, this needs a full, stunning, 1080P BLURAY release! My only reservations about this are that I fear if someone did start releasing this, there would be music rights issues, particularly in Seasons 4-7 when Lisa Hartman seemed to sing a new song every week. I love those songs and would only buy a home media release if they included ALL of her songs and if the episodes were all presented uncut and unedited, as originally aired.

Ha Ha, I don't think dvd is dead at all! Look at the sales for dvd players and dvds, as opposed to blu ray! I firmly believe that both will be around for a long, long time and think it's funny when people say dvd is dead. There are SO many movies and shows only available on dvd that will NEVER see a blu ray release. Can't we all just get along! :)

All they have to do is cut the songs out of the dvds and of course the episode would be shorter, but we'd still have the series.

It's not rocket science.

If music in episodes were such an issue there would be a zillion other shows with issues. I don't see how that can be a problem,really. Unless Lisa Hartman has the sole rights to the songs and they were her originals than why would it matter? They already had the right to allow her to sing 'covers' of songs, so I would think releasing shows and movies on DVD wouldn't be dependent on something like that. I'm sure I could be wrong but it just sounds stupid to me. And I agree that DVD is not dead! I actually prefer it over BluRay. BluRay players are a pain in the rear. And if you are a true Knots fan buying the DVD's wouldn't be contigent on Ciji's songs. That's just silly....

I am a true KNOTS fan and I absolutely would not buy a DVD/BluRay if it changed Ciji/Cathy's songs. I want to see exactly what aired on CBS from 1979 to 1993, not an edited version of that fourteen years.
