Bo and Luke being on probation and now allowed to be near guns. I have a question

This has always bothered me ever since I was a little kid in the 1980s watching the show when it was repeats on CBS on Saturdays most of the time

Bo and Luke were supposed to be on probation where they couldn't go around selling moonshine or be near guns. But somehow they got away with using bows and arrows that had dynamite attached to them.

wouldn't the bows and arrows be considered firearms due to explosives attached to the arrows?

Im not talking about Daisy.

Im talking about Bo and Luke being on probation and them not being allowed to use guns but somehow they're able to run around using bows and arrows that have dynamite attached to them.

My wild guess would be that the bow and arrows would be legal but not the dynamite, but I really don’t know.
