Why did Caroline McWilliams leave?

I liked her as Marcy Hill. Did Caroline decide to leave, or was she just written out?

Per another cast remember, she left to raise and spend more time with her family.

Also, her character wasn't clicking with audiences, who were preferring Inga Swenson by far. McWilliams was a semi-regular on Soap and this was to be her chance at stardom but it just didn't work out.
