If I remember the episode, the young jewish girl meets an elevator operator. He is a holocaust survivor who is hopeing one day to see his brother again who he has not seen since being separated in the camps. He feels his brother will for some reason want to visit the building he works in and there by find him again. Any ideas?

There is an episode in THE FACTS OF LIFE (one of my favorites) where Blair Warner (the rich snobby blonde) is stuck in an elevator when she is on her way to deliver a speech
In the long hours waiting she talks to teh elevator operator and he confides that he is a Holocoust survivor and he built a great big business in the uS aferwards...and one day he looked out his car window and saw his brother
He serached for years and eventually sold his business in looking for his brother and knew his brother like art so he applied for a job as an elevator operator in different art building hoping to someday see his brother
After the elevator works again Blair is moved by the man's story and has a different perspective on things and teh very speech she is about to give
